2013 Partnership DinnerScott Hamilton, the most recognized male figure skating star in the world, headlines Rochester College’s 42nd annual Partnership Dinner, which will be held at the Royal Park Hotel on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Hamilton will talk about “God and the Human Spirit.”
In addition to winning the Gold medal at the 1984 Olympics, Hamilton won four consecutive U.S. championships, four consecutive World Championships, and 70 other figure skating titles. His awards and honors include an Emmy nomination, induction into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame, and the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame. He also inspires others as a speaker, philanthropist, and cancer and pituitary brain tumor survivor. Recently, Hamilton released his inspirational book “The Great Eight” and returned to the ice at age 51 before conquering a recurrence of a brain tumor in 2010.

Partnership Dinner is an annual event that generates funding for student scholarships. The dinner normally is held during the spring at the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester. A special reception for sponsors and the featured speaker is held in conjunction with the dinner.
The 41st annual Partnership Dinner in 2012 featured Judge Kenneth Starr, president of Baylor University. Recent keynote speakers for the annual event have included such individuals as Barbara Bush, Colin Powell, Elizabeth Dole, John Major, Sam Donaldson, Mary Lou Retton, Art Linkletter, John Glenn, Robin Roberts, Dave Ramsey, Michael Medved and Don Meyer.
