CTE Paraprofessional for Agriscience/Horticulture

DEPARTMENT: Career and Technical Education
LOCATION: Education and Technology Center
SUPERVISOR(S): Assistant Principal of CTE Programs
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School Diploma required; some college education or advanced training in agri-science, horticulture & animal science desired
2. 2 years of recent and relevant work experience
3. Knowledge, training, and skills in agri-science, horticulture & animal science
4. Ability to work with high-school aged and/or special needs students
5. Interpersonal skills
6. Physical stamina necessary to perform the essential job functions
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist instructor with general classroom activities, including classroom set-up, materials preparation, and clerical functions
2. Assist instructor with implementation of classroom management system
3. Provide other assistance to instructor as needed
4. Provide instructional support to students
5. Provide individualized support to students with special needs
6. Monitor student activities and behavior
7. Positively represent the ISD and its constituent districts
8. Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS
WAGE/SALARY: $13.36 per hour
DAYS & HOURS: Monday through Friday
(7:40 a.m. – 10:10 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. – 2:10 p.m.)
FRINGES: Worker’s Compensation and Retirement
STARTING DATE: Until Filled
