AUDIOLOGIST ASSISTANT
EMPLOYEE GROUP: Non-Represented Support Staff
DEPARTMENT: Special Education
LOCATION: Education and Technology Center
SUPERVISOR(S): Director of Special Education
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Two years college or Associates Degree
2. Certification as an Audiologist Assistant preferred (must be willing to obtain within 12 months of start date).
3. Ability to work with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
4. Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing children preferred
5. Physical stamina necessary to perform the essential job functions
FUNCTIONS
1. Work under the direction of district Education Audiologist
2. Provide direct Audiological services to students with hearing loss (Equipment maintenance, Audiological evaluation assistance, Hearing device repair, documentation, etc.)
3. Consult with staff regarding Audiological services in a variety of education settings
4. Maintain communication with supervising therapist(s)
5. Participate as an education team member
6. Complete required paperwork
7. Positively represent the ISD and its constituent districts
8. Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS
WAGE/SALARY: $23.97 per hour
DAYS & HOURS: Monday through Friday
(7:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.)
FRINGES: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long-Term Disability Insurances; Vacation, Personal Business, and Sick Days; Paid Holidays
STARTING DATE: ASAP
