Teachers
The Joyful Jungle Christian Learning Center in Madison Heights is hiring full time Head Teachers in our Pre?K and Infant programs as
well as Assistant Teachers in our Infant and Toddler programs. Applicants should be self?motivated, creative, have a team player
mentality and have a passion for helping children reach their full potential.
Head Teacher job responsibilities include praying regularly for the children in care, completing a weekly Christian based lesson
plan, communicating with parents on children’s development and day, completing assessment portfolios on each child in the class,
maintaining a clean and safe environment and leading Assistant Teachers in the classroom. Head Teacher
applicants are required to have one of the following:
1. Completed a minimum of 4 college classes in early childhood education or child development with a
minimum of one year working in a child care center or
2. an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Elementary
Education or
3. A CDA with two years experience working in a child care center.
Assistant Teacher job responsibilities include but are not limited to: praying regularly for your children in care, assisting in
completing weekly lesson plan activities, communicating with parents daily on children’s development, maintaining a clean and
healthy environment for the children and working cooperatively with other teachers in the classroom. Assistant Teacher applicants
are required to have one of the following:
1. Have 8 credits of college classes in early childhood education or child development with a
minimum 6 months working in a child care center or
2. A CDA with 6 months experience working in a child care center.
