Substitute Staff
Little Lambs at Christ Church Cranbrook (WWW.LITTLELAMBSCCC.ORG) is recruiting substitute teachers for our Child Development Center. At Little Lambs, we serve children from 6 weeks through 5 years in a Christian-centered environment, providing full and half day care. Our center is open Monday-Friday year-round. The program begins at 7:00 AM and ends at 5:30 PM each day. This position is open to candidates who can fill in for teachers during their absences. Times and dates would be varied throughout the year. Substitutes can give their availability upon hire date for days they are available to sub. Most dates are asked in advance however there are times where substitute opportunities occur the same day.
Responsibilities could include the following: • Provide assistance and support to all classrooms • Assume temporary responsibilities of a teacher in their absence • Have the willingness to care for each age level when needed • Provide positive guidance to the children to develop self-discipline and social problem-solving skills • Ensure that the daily routines are done in a prompt, clean and consistent manner while following all licensing rules and center procedures through out each day • Ensure the health and safety of children at all times Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience working in a child care center or early childhood setting. Candidates must have strong knowledge of early childhood development and use of positive classroom behavior management strategies. We are seeking a candidate who is loving, nurturing, flexible and willing to be a team player in our small family environment. Knowledge of State of Michigan licensing standards a plus.
