Job Description:
The News Photographer is responsible for shooting and sometimes editing video and sound for news stories. Photographers are responsible for operating microwave live trucks and other ENG equipment as required by the news department.

Education Required:
Candidates for the News Photographer will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience Required:
Minimum of two years experience as a news photographer in a television news department.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of journalism, operation of camera, non-linear editing experience. The ideal candidate must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, be willing and available to travel out of town on assignments, and be flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
