POSITION: Construction Intern/Co-Op
REPORTS TO: Construction Specialist
MAJORS: Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Intern duties include preparing construction estimates, obtaining competitive bids, securing permits for miscellaneous construction projects, and drawing coordination and review. Some onsite work may be required as well, insuring that work is being performed in accordance with OSHA and Speedway LLC safety guidelines and established policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS: This is a paid position with flexible hours. Candidates would need to be available to work approx. 20 hours per week. There is a possibility of the intern being offered full time hours over the summer and other school breaks. Successful candidates will be obtaining either Junior or Senior status in the fall of 2013.
SALARY: Intern will be paid hourly. Rate will depend on educational level and experience. Hourly pay range is from $10-$12. There are no company benefits included with this position.
