Youth Ministry Intern

Position: Summer Youth Ministry Intern.
General Responsibilities:
The youth intern will be responsible for all ministries to Middle
School and High School students. These include activities,
outreaches, discipleship, Bible study, work projects and special
ministries.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would be a college student, studying to enter
youth ministry (though not required) , and able and willing to
commit to ministry for the whole summer.
Reports to:
· The Senior Pastor
· The Board of Trustees
Specific Duties
· Job Specific
o Lead Sunday evening Bible study
o Initiate a summer discipleship group(s)
o Help with projects around the church by inviting teens
along to work with you
o Visiting/hanging out with kids to get to know them and
encourage them in their walk with Christ
o Plan activities for the students (e.g. Cedar Point, movie
day/night, canoe trip, tubing trip, etc.)
o Preaching on Sunday morning once or twice (if desired)
· Personal Growth
o Read three books over the summer to be chosen by the
intern out of the following categories:
? Youth Ministry
? Theology/Biblical Issues
? Personal Growth
? Spiritual Disciplines

o Take a half day away from the office for Bible reading,
prayer, and worship (monthly)
o Seek out/maintain a strong accountable relationship
with a brother/sister in Christ
Compensation
· Summer: $12 per hour for 30 hours a week ($4000 for the
summer) plus room and board. You will be staying with a
wonderful, fun family that have two college age kids
themselves. They have enjoyed our past interns, and
consider them family. No doubt you will be welcomed to the
family as well.
