Head Start Teacher
GCCARD Out-County Head Start is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the following position:
TEACHER:
Salary: ($11.93 – $14.96) depending on education and experience, full time, 42-52 weeks per year.
General Statement of Duties: Plans, implements and directs the educational activities for a classroom of preschool children using the Creative Curriculum, works closely with parents and program staff; provides direction to program assistants and volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with preschool teaching experience. All applicants must have 2 semester hours in childcare administration.
PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR ABOVE POSITIONS: Eligible In-House applicants are those individuals who have worked for the Head Start program in a full time, part time, and/or temporary capacity for at least 12 consecutive weeks within the last 12 months or an Out-County Head Start parent. All In-House candidates must meet the minimum requirements and submit a separate application, resume, and transcripts for each position applied for.

A complete official transcript will be required prior to appointment. Must have access to reliable transportation. No copies will be made at this office.
