Rochester College will become the first college in the state of Michigan to offer all of its Fall 2008 new incoming freshmen a state-of-the-art Apple MacBook absolutely free. Transfer students who enter Rochester College this fall with less than 30 semester credit hours will also be eligible to receive the free MacBook.
It is one of the goals of the college to be sure that students are involved with the latest technology during their studies. Education and technology has developed over the years and Rochester College is on course with the more progressive colleges in the country. One of the primary goals with educational technology that Rochester College has achieved was to create a campus-wide wireless environment. This will provide the possibilities for laptop use in the classroom, library, grounds, virtually anywhere. In time as the technology becomes more tailored for faculty and student interaction, Rochester College will continue to enhance the laptop program.
This is your laptop. The warranty will be in your name. You will not have to return it when you graduate. Each student will be required to sign a laptop program agreement. If the student remains enrolled fulltime at Rochester College for at least 6 full semesters, (excluding summer semesters) no charge will be made for the laptop. If the student leaves before 6 full semesters the student will pay a prorated charge for the MacBook.
