At some point in our lives, we all have been blessed by the compassion and care we received from a nurse who cares. Whether the care was for an aging parent, a child, a close friend or a personal illness, we each have a story about that one special nurse who helped us in our time of need. Nurses give compassion in the midst of crisis, encouragement during a long road to recovery, and a warm smile when joy seems a bit distant. We all know nurses are the heart of healthcare.
Rochester College School of Nursing is in the second year of educating nurses using the model of relationship-based care. Please help us as we assist these hard-working students as they journey to become the nurses of tomorrow.
Join us on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the RC Theatre for a casual evening with Rochester College nursing faculty, students, community advisers and other health professionals. Your $50 donation will include appetizers, light entertainment, a short update on the School of Nursing, a tour of our facilities, and plenty of mingle time with other health professionals. Proceeds will go toward the Rochester College School of Nursing scholarship fund.
