Rochester College sponsors the 2014 Dinner of Abrahamic Traditions on Thursday, October 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Niagara Foundation organizes this dinner every year for the purpose of strengthening friendship and understanding among three Abrahamic Traditions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
Additional gifts of $50,000 toward the 24-Hour Give have been confirmed, taking our total in gifts and pledges to $117,686. Combining this amount with the original $100,000 challenge takes us to nearly $217,686 for this campaign! Thank you to the hundreds of alumni, friends, and employees who contributed. This was a fantastic day in Rochester College's history.
Rochester College's Science Department is hosting an "Evening Under the Stars," which will provide information and viewing of celestial objects, on Friday, August 29, at 9 p.m.
Each year we invite alumni, friends, and local residents to join us as we focus on cleanup of the area surrounding Lake Norcentra. We will be raking, trimming, removing fallen trees, and making the area look great for summer. We look forward to your help as we improve this space.
Rochester College recently awarded four $50,000 scholarships to young women from Lincoln High School who have participated in the Women of Tomorrow Mentor and Scholarship Program.
"Petticoat Surgeon: The Life of Dr. Bertha Van Hoosen," an original play based upon the Rochester doctor's 1947 autobiography, will be performed in May and June at Rochester College and the Van Hoosen Museum.
