Don't just limit yourself to one small group of friends you meet at the start; get to know as many people as you can because you'll never know who you'll hang out with. Also, contrary to popular belief, social clubs are a great way to stay involved in the campus and get a tight-knit group of friends

I remember my jumpstart was a lot of fun making new friends and moving on campus. I want to continue to be part of that excitement and I love meeting new people. Even though I'm not a freshman this is the next best thing. Words of Wisdom for Freshmen: Do not procrastinate; if the paper is due in three weeks do not wait to the week or worst night before to write it. Don't be afraid to ask professors for help from checking a paper (this is where it helps not to wait to the last minute) or to clarify something. We are lucky to have professors who care about your success as a student. We aren't just numbers here we are individuals and the professors, faculty are willing to help so why not ask. Just from personal experience (whirly-ball) don't do anything stupid. This is a small campus so unless you want everyone to know about it and of course bring it up at every possible chance it will happen. So be wise and smart about your choices.

I like to meet the freshmen when they first get here and just involve them in the community here. Words of Wisdom for Freshmen: Get involved in the community, but don't get so busy and stressed out doing a million things that you aren't relaxing and enjoying your relationships with people and time to just do what you want.
