Lake Norcentra Park ($10,000)

Since the opening of the college in 1959, Lake Norcentra has served as a campus focal point. The lake and its surrounding wooded areas provide a serene location where the college community can enjoy the handiwork of God.

The Alumni Association recently adopted the lake and plans to further develop the area into Lake Norcentra Park. As part of a multi-phased project, the Association has already hosted two cleanup days in 2013 and plans to host an annual cleanup day each spring.

Over the next year, a committee of alumni and landscaping professionals will be developing a master plan for enhancements in the park. Early discussions include such items as seating with flower boxes, a rock waterfall, and additional lighting.

In order to fund cleanup efforts and initial improvement projects, the Alumni Association needs to raise $10,000. Your favorite memory of the lake area may be a proposal to your spouse, throwing your roommate in the water for his engagement, or a swim to the island with the Hoggatt Swim team. Regardless, you can help make Lake Norcentra Park an even more beautiful place for future generations of Rochester College students. Help FUNDit today!
