Scholarships 2013-14

All institutional scholarships are reviewed on an annual basis. Modifications for future incoming classes will not change your scholarship award.

All institutional scholarships are available for fall and spring semesters only. Awards shall be applied directly against the recipient’s educational expenses at a rate of 50% for the Fall semester and 50% for the Spring semester.

Students may receive no more than one of the following discounts

Children of Christian Academy Employee Discount

Eligibility
Awarded to first time RC students under age 24 whose parents are currently employed full-time at an accredited Christian High School. Employment verification letter must be submitted annually.
Amount
$2,500 per year
Renewal Requirements
Must remain full-time student and maintain 2.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Annual employer verification of continued full-time parental employment.

 

Christian College/University Discount

Eligibility
Awarded to first time RC students under age 24 who are dependent children of full-time employees of “sister” institutions.
Amount
$3,000 per year
Renewal Requirements
Must remain full-time student and maintain 2.0 CGPA. Annual employer verification of continued full-time parental employment.

 

Christian Academy/School Graduate Discount

Eligibility
Awarded to first time RC students under age 24 who graduated from an accredited Christian High School.
Amount
$1,000 per year
Renewal Requirements
2.0 CGPA

 

Family Tuition Discount

Eligibility
Awarded if two or more dependent children or a parent and child are concurrently enrolled full time.
Amount
$2,000 per year
Renewal Requirements
Continued enrollment of two or more immediate family members as verified by the registrar.  Minimum of 2.0 CGPA.

 

Children of Minister’s Discount

Eligibility
First time RC students under age 24 who are dependent children of full-time ministers (pulpit, youth, worship) or foreign missionaries (working under the supervision and support of a Christian Church in the United States, letter from supporting congregation required annually) and who have served in that capacity for at least 3 years. Discount application form as well as youth census list (9th-12th) from your home congregation must be submitted annually.

International Scholarship Discount

Eligibility
Awarded automatically to students who are not residents of the United States. Students eligible for U.S. Federal or State aid are not eligible.
Amount
$5,000 per year

June 1 for Fall semester or November 1 for Spring semester.

The following may be awarded in addition to any other scholarships

 

Alumni Parent Scholarship

Eligibility
At least one parent must have attended Rochester College on a full time basis for at least four semesters.

Out-of-State Discount

Eligibility
Awarded to US citizens & permanent residents of a state other than Michigan. Student must demonstrate financial need by being eligible for the Michigan Tuition Grant as if they were a Michigan resident.

The total of all institutional aid for residential students may not exceed 100% of tuition, room, board, and fees.
Only full-time students (minimum of 12 hours) are eligible for institutional aid.

Outside Scholarships

Students in all programs are eligible to apply for outside scholarships.

Lake to Lake Michigan College Scholarships

Eligibility

Scholarship Program

Eligibility
