Merit Awards 2012-13

All institutional merit scholarships are reviewed on an annual basis. Modifications for future incoming classes will not change your merit award. All institutional scholarships are available for Fall and Spring semesters only. Awards shall be applied directly against the recipient’s educational expenses at a rate of 50% for the Fall semester and 50% for the Spring semester

Deadline date represents risk dates. If you complete the application requirements after this date, the award may not be available due to limited funding.

Note: While many colleges only offer their scholarships for four years, Rochester College offers their scholarships for up to five years. So if you change your major or want to add a minor, which takes you more than four years to complete, our scholarships will be there for you in year five.

Students may receive no more than one of the following discounts

Trustee Scholarship

Eligibility	Enter RC with no more than 15 transferable semester credit hours. Competitive Scholarship. Minimum ACT score 30 or SAT score 1320 (Math and Critical Reading) and High School cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher. Must be full time boarding student. GPA requirement is calculated based on a 4.0 grading scale. National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalists automatically receive this award.
Amount	100% tuition for 12 to 18 credit hours per semester (Fall and Spring only). May include all or a portion of the Residence Hall fee. Valued in excess of $100,000 over 5 years.

How to Apply	Competitive Scholarship Application. Student will receive invitation to apply once we have received your ACT/SAT score. Must have completed the application process and been accepted for enrollment.
Renewal Requirements	Must be full-time boarding student and maintain a minimum 3.5 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Must earn a minimum of 15 hours each semester. Scholarship is good for 10 regular semesters (5 years)

Freshman Presidential Scholar Award

Eligibility	29+ ACT or 1280-1310 SAT and minimum high school GPA of 3.5 Enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. GPA requirement is calculated based on a 4.0 grading scale.
Amount	80% of tuition for up to 18 credit hours per semester.

Renewal Requirements	Must be full-time student. Meet required renewal cumulative CGPA of 3.5.

Freshman Provost Scholar Award

Eligibility	28 ACT or 1240-1270 SAT and minimum high school GPA of 3.5 Enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. GPA requirement is calculated based on a 4.0 grading scale.
Amount	$50,000 ($10,000 per year for up to 5 years)

Freshman Vice Presidential Scholar Award

Eligibility	27 ACT or 1210-1230 SAT and minimum high school GPA of 3.4 Enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. GPA requirement is calculated based on a 4.0 grading scale.
Amount	$37,500 ($7,500 per year, for up to 5 years)

Freshman Dean’s Scholar Award

Eligibility	25-26 ACT or 1130-1200 SAT and minimum high school GPA of 3.3 Enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. GPA requirement is calculated based on a 4.0 grading scale.
Amount	$30,000 ($6,000 per year for up to 5 years)

Freshman Warrior Scholar Award

Eligibility	23-24 ACT or 1060-1120 SAT and minimum high school GPA of 3.2 Enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. GPA requirement is calculated based on a 4.0 grading scale.
Amount	$25,000 ($5,000 per year for up to 5 years)

Freshman Academic Scholar Award

Eligibility	21-22 ACT or 970-1050 SAT and minimum high school GPA of 3.2 Enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. GPA requirement is calculated based on a 4.0 grading scale
Amount	$20,000 ($4,000 per year for up to 5 years)

Academic Achievement Scholarship: ACT 21-22

Eligibility	21-22 ACT or 970-1050 SAT and enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. Awarded automatically with official ACT/SAT score report. No minimum required high school GPA.
Amount	$10,000 ($2,000 per year for up to 5 years)

Academic Achievement Scholarship: ACT 23-24

Eligibility	23-24 ACT or 1060-1120 SAT and enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. Awarded automatically with official ACT/SAT score report. No minimum required high school GPA.
Amount	$12,500 ($2,500 per year for up to 5 years)

Academic Achievement Scholarship: ACT 25-26

Amount	$15,000 ($3000 per year for up to 5 years)

Amount	$17,500 ($3,500 per year for up to 5 years)

Amount	$22,500 ($4,500 per year for up to 5 years)

Academic Achievement Scholarship: ACT 31-32

Eligibility	31-32 ACT or 1360-1450 SAT and enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. Awarded automatically with official ACT/SAT score report. No minimum required high school GPA.
Amount	$27,500 ($5,500 per year for up to 5 years)

Academic Achievement Scholarship: ACT 33-36

Eligibility	33-36 ACT or 1460-1600 SAT and enter RC with a maximum of 15 transferable semester credit hours. Awarded automatically with official ACT/SAT score report. No minimum required high school GPA.
Amount	$32,500 ($6,500 per year for up to 5 years)

Academic Transfer Scholarship – 3.75 GPA

Eligibility	Awarded with official college/university transcript reports. Minimum of 16 transferable semester credit hours.
Amount	$7,500 based on college GPA of 3.75.

Academic Transfer Scholarship – 3.50 GPA

Eligibility	Awarded with official college/university transcript reports. Minimum of 16 transferable semester credit hours.
Amount	$6,000 based on college CGPA of 3.5.

Academic Transfer Scholarship – 3.25 GPA

Eligibility	Awarded with official college/university transcript reports. Minimum of 16 transferable semester credit hours.
Amount	$4,000 based on college CGPA of 3.25.

Academic Transfer Scholarship – 3.00 GPA

Eligibility	Awarded with official college/university transcript reports. Minimum of 16 transferable semester credit hours.
Amount	$3,000 based on college CGPA of 3.00.

Academic Transfer Scholarship – 2.75 GPA

Eligibility	Awarded with official college/university transcript reports. Minimum of 16 transferable semester credit hours.
Amount	$2,500 based on college CGPA of 2.75.

Renewal Requirements	Must be full-time student. Minimum of 24 semester hours passed each academic year and a minimum CGPA requirement of 2.5.

The total of all institutional aid for residential students may not exceed 100% of tuition, room, board, and fees.
Only full-time students (minimum of 12 hours) are eligible for institutional aid.
Scores for required SAT scores computed by adding scores for math and critical reading.
