Reflect—it’s a very multifaceted word.

For instance, it could mean to meditate on our lives and seeing if it matches up with God’s Word…

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. James 1:23-24

Or, it could mean to duplicate an image of something, like a mirror…

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 1 Corinthians 13:12

It could also mean to give an impression of something, just as our lives reflect what is in our hearts…

As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. Proverbs 27:19

No matter what form of the word we use, the bottom line is that our lives are to be a reflection of Christ. This year at ELEVATE, we will explore what it means to be MIRRORS to those around us. We will reflect on the good and the bad in our lives. And most of all, we will leave ready to be REFLECTIONS of Christ to this world.
