After I have filled out my FAFSA, how long will it take for RC to contact me?
In conjunction with applying for Financial Aid, you will also need to submit the Intent to Register Form to the Financial Aid office. Once Financial Aid receives your FAFSA information and the Intent to Register Form, they will mail you your award letter.
Do I need to apply to Rochester College before Financial Aid will contact me regarding my financial aid?
Yes, you are required to fill out and submit a Rochester College student application before financial aid will be able to package you.

It is recommended that prospective students apply for financial aid as early as possible. You can apply for financial aid by visiting www.fafsa.ed.gov. Be sure to include Rochester College's federal code.

Does CEL give scholarships?
CEL students are eligible for federal and state grants and loans. They are not eligible for institutional aid. This is the reason that CEL tuition is less than traditional student tuition.

Avenues for obtaining nontraditional credit at Rochester College include testing services, professional schools and training (30 hours maximum), and prior learning portfolio (30 hours maximum).Students may receive a combined maximum of 30 credit hours toward the Associate of Arts degree and 60 credit hours toward a Bachelor's degree through nontraditional avenues.
How do I know what will transfer?
Once you have provided us with copies of transcripts from your previous colleges and institutions, we will complete a degree plan for you, showing you the transfer credit accepted by Rochester College.

We will need official transcripts by the end of your first semester of enrollment. In order to obtain an official transcript, you will need to contact the appropriate school directly.
Do you have transfer guides on your website?
Current and prospective students are advised on an individual basis. If you bring your transcripts with you when you meet with an advisor, you can generally have a completed degree plan before you leave. If you have questions about a specific class, call or e-mail an advisor, who can find the answer for you.
How much is your tuition and fees?
Tuition as of Fall 2007 is $265 per credit hour. For miscellaneous fees, please consult the current registration packet or an advisor.
Can I buy books at the offsite location?
All textbooks are purchased through the main campus bookstore. Books can be shipped to the location of your choice.

How long will it take me to finish?
Many variables must be taken into consideration, including the amount of transfer credit accepted and whether you plan on attending full-time, part-time or half-time. We can provide a tentative graduation date after the degree plan is completed.
Do you offer online degrees?
While we offer some online classes, we do not offer distance learning degrees or programs.
