We are currently interviewing for six positions teaching our one hour programs for the after school programs in Rochester Community Schools during the month of October (Monday - Friday) in the fall. This is a four-week program where kids meet one day per week.
Some of our other clients have included Michigan State University, Oakland University, and Crossroads for Youth, Great Oaks County Club, Lake Orion Schools, etc. We've conducted programs for the elementary aged Rochester after school programs (B.A.S.E.S) for over two years now.
We are hiring for two new four-week pilot programs in the Rochester district. "Cartooning with Character" teaches kids how to draw simple cartoons with a "backdoor" approach to improving writing skills, handwriting, and story writing utilizing character based traits (honesty, integrity, etc.). We are a faith-based organization but carefully introduce badly needed skills in the public institutions.
The second class is "Kids Money Management". Using fun props and playing detectives, we learn about all aspects of finances. Kids will also learn the meaning of what are on our coins and dollar bills (history). In a materialist world, we hope to change the attitudes of youth to be better stewards and to better understand wants versus needs. Along the way they will learn a lot about math too! This is the first class of its kind taught and our goal is to enter other schools. Rochester has us contracted for eleven schools - all are programs held after school.
Instructors must:
WE ARE WAITING FOR FINAL SCHEDULES FROM THE DISTRICT BUT THIS WOULD VARY BY ONLY MINUTES EITHER WAY.
