Lady Warriors claim key USCAA victory over IU-Northwest

The Rochester College Lady Warriors used a 61% field goal shooting 2nd half to claim a key USCAA women's basketball victory. Sam Tomoschko had a career best 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Jessica Crook nearly had a triple double performance with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists to lead the Lady Warriors to a 61-46 win.

The game matched up two USCAA top 10 teams. Indiana University-Northwest came in ranked #4 nationally, while RC was ranked #7. The first half was a defensive effort as neither team could muster any significant lead. The game would be tied at 21-21 heading into the break, with RC shooting just 31% and IU-Nortwest shooting just 28% from the floor.

Defensively the game wouldn't change much for the warriors as they would force IU-Northwest to turn the ball over 18 times and only allowing them to shoot 36% for the game. Offensively, however, the lady warriors would burn the nets with a 6 of 11 3-point shooting effort in the second half allowing them to pull away with the win. Liz Stockwell would chip in 11 points for the game.

The win pushes the RC record to 11-12 on the season as they continue to push towards a National Tournament birth.
