Warriors win 3rd game in a row

The Rochester College Men's Basketball team traveled to Penn State University-Fayette this past weekend and came home with a convincing 93-49 road win. The win improves the warrior season tally to 9-7 and would be the 3rd win in a row for the RC cagers.

The warriors would take some time to shake off their sluggish road legs, but would be able to muster a 36-23 halftime lead. Rochester College would shoot just 39% from the field in the first half that would include a dismal 2-9 performance from the 3-point arch. Despite a sluggish offensive performance in the first half, the warriors would build a lead from their defensive effort as they forced PSU into 14 first half turnovers.

The second half would begin with the warriors continuing their defensive pressure that would create easy scoring opportunities for RC. The warriors would shoot a net burning 63% from the field while forcing PSU into 14 more turnovers and a 29% field goal performance for the game.

Dramell Hogan would lead all scorers with 18 points and 12 rebounds in a balanced scoring attack from the warriors. Adrian Schaffer II, Ricky Doran, Marques Ewell, and Torey Throop would all reach double digits, scoring with 13, 12, 11, and 10 points respectively. The Warriors would dominate that glass with a 48-23 advantage that included 23 offensive rebounds for the warriors.

The Warriors will enjoy a long Christmas break before returning to practice after the new year, when they travel to Maine to take on USCAA schools, Southern Maine and Central Maine in games on Jan 6th and 7th.
