Warriors improve to 6-0 on the season

Junior guard Michael Graham scored a career high 30 points and Sophomore center Ricky Doran had 12 points and 7 rebounds in a 74-68 warrior win over Point Park University in the 1st game of the Notre Dame Tip-off classic. The win improves the warriors season record to 6-0 heading into a match up of host Notre Dame College tomorrow at 4:00 pm.

Point Park University was able to take the lead into halftime with a slim 41-36 lead behind a 53% field goal shooting performance. The Warriors were only able to connect on 40% of their first half shots.

The roles were reversed in the second half as the warriors shot 54% from the field and Point Park shot just 33%. Junior guards Marques Ewell and Stephan Henning combined for 13 assists and 9 rebounds to help turn things around for the warriors as they built a lead that grew to 16 points.

Michael Graham hit a key 3 point shot with the shot clock running out and less than 10 seconds left in the game to help secure the win. The play was made possible by Marques Ewell who was able to keep a loose ball alive and draw 2 defenders before he found Graham in the corner.

The Warriors will play at 4:00 pm on Saturday against the host Notre Dame College.
