At Saginaw Valley State University, Rochester College lost to the Cardinals 0-2 on an overcast day and on a wet field.
After a scoreless first half the Cardinals got on the board in the 58th minute as they were able to take advantage of congestion in the 6 yard box and slot a ball near post past Senior goal keeper Dave Ristich (Waterford/Kettering) to put Saginaw Valley up 1-0. The Cardinal then found the back of the net off a corner kick to give the Cardinals the 2-0 final over the Warriors.
The Warriors had 5 total shots with SVSU garnering 16 total shots for the game. Ristich had 5 saves while allowing 2 goals for the match.
With the loss, the Warriors fall to 6-5-0 overall on the season.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday October 7th, when they will travel with the Lady Warriors to take on Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio. The Women will play at 3:00pm and the men will play at 5:00pm.
