Deja Vu Strikes As Warriors Battle To A Tie Against Concordia University

Ann Arbor, MI.

The Rochester College men’s soccer team tied their match host NAIA Concordia University 0-0, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In a game of déjà vu, the Concordia University Cardinals’ ended a two-year losing streak by battling the Warriors from Rochester College to a 0-0 tie. Ironically, the last time the Cardinals ended a losing streak was against the Warriors in 2006 when they played to a 2-2 tie. That tie snapped a 29-game losing streak for Concordia, while the Warriors went on to win the USCAA National Tournament Championship.

The home team had the best of the scoring chances in the first half outshooting the Warriors 11-1 for the half and 15 to 8 for the game.

Rochester keeper, junior Dave Ristich (Waterford Kettering), was at the right place at the right time throughout the match to smother the Cardinal opportunities on goal. Ristich was solid stopping 12 shots for the game.

The Warriors record now stands at 6-4-2.

The Warriors will next battle the Cardinal again on Monday 10/6 at 4:00pm at the Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac.
