ROCHESTER HILLS, MI - Rochester College head baseball coach Brett Crawford has recently announced the signings of two players for the 2008-2009 season.
Bobby Stout, a sophomore second baseman from Ancilla College, has been a two-year starter and 2008 captain. Stout prepped at LaVille High School in Indiana where he was named honorable mention All-State and a two-time All-Conference Selection. "Bobby comes from a great family with an understanding for the game at the college level. He has proven, both in high school and at the junior college level that he can compete both offensively and defensively."
Caleb Tifft, a right-handed pitcher and utility player from Avondale High School started his 2008 campaign with a perfect 3-0 record and a 0.39 ERA. "The coaching staff has highlighted Caleb as a premier student-athlete and look forward to his work ethic both in the classroom and on the baseball field. Caleb's maturity and physical talent will create a lot of excitement over the next four years."
