Rochester College - 1 Calvin College Reserve - 3

Rochester College traveled to Grand Rapids, Mi, to face the Calvin College B team.

The Warriors lost their 2nd consecutive match to fall to 6-5-6 with a 3-1 loss.

In a very competitive, physically hard fought match, on a wet and rainy day the Knights took a 1-0 lead over the Warriors into the halftime break.

The Warriors struck back early in the 2nd 45 minutes, on a goal by junior Chris Hall (UK) as he followed up on a save by the Knights' goal keeper on Hall's own penalty shot attempt. The Knights scored 2 late goals in a short period of time, then hold off the Warriors, and earn the 3-1 victory.

Sophomore GK Dave Ristich faced 17 Knight shots for the match, and made 5 saves. Ristich was also injured in the match with less than a minute to play and received 9 stitches under his eye after the match. The Warriors garnered 14 shots on goal in the loss.

The Warrior player of the match went to freshman mid fielder Matt Nead (Heritage Christian) in his best match of the season.

The Warriors record is now 6-5-6. They next play Saturday, 10/13 at Bluffton University, Ohio, at 3:00pm.
