PERSONAL:

Melissa is a lifetime resident of the Detroit area – except for two interesting years in Munich, Germany. There she changed her major to psychology due in part to weekly conversations with a psychoanalyst. (She was a private English instructor, not a patient, but probably should have been). In her free time, Melissa does not enjoy analyzing friends and family but rather running with her dog, taunting her cats, reading, juicing produce just about to expire, and working in wildlife rehabilitation.

PRESENTATIONS:

  • Guest speaker:  “Depression,” “Crisis Management and Suicide Prevention; DBSA Metro Detroit; April 2011, September 2011.
  • Presentations in local high schools on mood disorders and suicide in adolescents – Joseph J. Laurencelle Memorial Foundation.
